Absolutely ridiculous if you ask me, unless the bikes *really* damage the stairs. The elevators are immensely slow, queues are already enormous in case one of the escalators are out of order.
Why isn’t there any mention of speed-bikes being able to use the waaslandtunnel? It has become local traffic only recently, and the speed limit was also lowered from 50 to 30 km/h. The only downsides I can think of are bad air quality in the tunnel, and dangerous in case of traffic jams to pass cars.
