    Welcher deutsche Dialekt ist eigentlich der nervigste?

      I find it both funny and annoying that people seem to think there is one „East German“ accent.

      As I have only hear Hoch Deutsch all my life in school and at home, I can say that Swabish is way out there for me to understand. My late uncle spoke Swabish and I had no idea what he was saying. My aunt had to be an intermediatary so I could understand him.

      There is no objective answer to this, it will always depend on who you ask and where they are from. My personal least favourite dialect is from Berlin but I know there are people who actually like that one.

      Annoying is the wrong word but the accent/dialect from Saxony usually ends up in the last place for sexiest accent in Germany.

      I dislike bavarian-german. Mainly because I am a „Saupreiss“ I also have relatives there of whom I don’t think too highly.

      I wonder how the Bavarians managed to be between Germany and Austria and still speak a worse accent. Visually followed by the GDR accent.

      Schwäbisch. Anyone saying otherwise is either a Schwabe or hasn’t heard Schwäbisch.

      Schwaben try to meme the public that east german/saxonian dialects are the worst, but don’t believe their propaganda. Yeah, it might sound like some drunk dude with marbles in their mouth has a clogged nose, but still – the answer to your question is Schwäbisch.

      I don’t find any accent annoying. But some of them are amusing to the point where it’s hard to take people seriously who speak them.

      Sächsisch. Simply sounds absolutely moronic. Tbh, Bayrisch isn’t much better, but slightly. I also don’t like Schwäbisch, but it’s not as bad as Sächsisch. More like Bayrisch.

      Actually I agree with the people on that sub and vote for sächsisch. Sorry Saxony!
