In der Türkei wurden Tausende armenische Gräber und Stätten von Zivilisten geplündert, um Gold oder Schmuck zu finden. Anleitungen zum Auffinden „armenischer Schätze“ sind zu einem beliebten Trend geworden.

This is deliberate. If you find gold hidden somewhere do you run around telling people where you found it? No! This is just the genocide continued except they already eliminated us from our lands so they are going after evidence of our presence. Cultural genocide.
Hey. Most of these types of videos are faked. However, sadly this does not mean that this problem does not exist. No, infact it is one of the biggest problems archeology in Turkey faces.
Turkey’s archeology is extremely underdeveloped because we are not funded, nor taken serious. The situation is even worse in eastern Turkey. Already generally underfunded in every category, archeology is basically non-existent. Nothing is being researched or preserved there. There are literally NO active projects. Which of course sets grounds for these assholes.
There is no way to stop them. They always find a way to rob these treasures.
(p.s: I have so much to add but I do not know how to form my words because of how frustrated I am.)
