Submission statement – Company argues that for a humanoid to be practical and cost effective in the near term, legs aren’t necessary, and that there are many tasks that offer a good return on investment where a stationary pedestal or a glorified autonomous mobile robotic base would be totally fine.
By being on the stable base it basically eliminates the possibility of hurting your pet, falling on your costly television etc..
From the safety perspective it could be better suited for the household since for a full humanoid there is always a bigger risk involved.
I know there are so many others working in a moving humanoids, but a stationary humanoid could be more realistic around humans during the early stage of adoption. What do you think?
