A complete shame. At least in this case it is two squares. I’ve seen much worse than this…a triangular open plan, a triangular bathroom, one rectangular (narrow width, long side) bedroom….for sale at EUR 150K….on plan….advertised as a sound investment…with no fucking views….and a miniscule balcony where you can put your cylinder gas. Such a sad state of affairs.

Not to be the devil’s advocate, but this is an average flat in most of europe’s cities.
What’s the problem?
The layout might not be a disaster. Having the bedroom away from the kitchen / living is good if you have young children or your partner is a light sleeper. Just don’t take the corridor into consideration when measuring internal sqm.
I’d love to know the thought processes that went on in the architect’s head when designing this abomination.
Actually I would love this layout because bedrooms are further away from kitchen/living and I’m a light sleeper. The issue here is that this probably is in marsa/hamrun/st venera/qawra/bugibba.
It seems that they are managing to sell them. Would they keep on building otherwise?
I love the random „box room“ that looks like it could genuinely only fit a single box.

Main problem I see is that both bathrooms are far from the Living area
Otherwise, having bedrooms far away from living area is not a bad idea.
I lived in an apartment with a similar layout in Frankfurt/Germany, where the kitchen and bedroom where on one side, and the living room was at the other end of a long and narrow corridor like this. That house was built 1908 – it’s not only the “local greed”.

To be honest it is not that bad, seen worst when I was looking for mine. Though I am not a fan of having the entrance next to the bedroom.
My bedroom is far away from the kids bedrooms and I love it for that !!
