      Yes, they exist. There is one in my town of origin (ca. 35000 inhabitants). As far as I know it has been used only twice during the last one and a half decades.

      But they are often controversly discussed by the public.

      Dumb question: when you give birth, isn’t it made official that you are a parent? Can you just get rid of a baby like this with no legal issue? I find it a bit weird that abortion is technically not legal in Germany but that this system would be.
