Meine Frau (Deutsche) und ich (Amerikaner) haben ein Whiteboard für bessere deutsche Sprüche im Vergleich zu englischen und ich bin als englischer Muttersprachler auf dem absteigenden Ast. Wir bauen ein Haus mit Zäunen, die nach innen geneigt sind. Meine Art ist besser, oder?

the german translations would translate back to „inward directed optical illusion“
Maybe google translate does not now the word „inwärtig“ which is the exact translation for „inward“.
So correct would be: „inwärtige optische Täuschung“ which is not much longer than the english term.
Yes, there is no german word for crooked fences. Can’t even imagine a fence without all 90 degree angles.
I am not sure, so please correct me if i am wrong, but we don’t really have a german word or use the term inward optical illusion. We just use ,optische Täuschung‘ or the name of that illusion like ,Bewegte Bilder‘, ,mehrdeutige Darstellung‘….
