
Bin in ein altes deutsches Haus gezogen und habe das hier im Keller gefunden. Es lässt sich irgendwie hochheben und wackelt herum, aber ich habe nicht zu fest daran gezogen, es kam ein bisschen Flüssigkeit heraus (habe mir die Hände gründlich gewaschen)

It‘s an opening to clean out the soot from the chimney.
Access „hatch“ for your chimney, in case someone needs to clean it or otherwise be able to take a look into the shaft.
If you remove the stone you can access the bottom of your chimney to remove ash.
That water is rainwater mixed with ash.
