You had a connection with Zugbindung. And this means your ticket is only valid on specific trains. Now this is lifted and you can take whatever train you like at 02. August.

There is no more action needed. Just get on the train that date.

If you want to have a seat reservation, you need to buy one.

    3. > do I just show the same ticket to get on another train

Yes, that is exactly what this notification is telling you.

      > Do I need to activate or reserve?

Only if you have a seat reservation. Seat reservations are optional on trains inside Germany, so you may not have or need one. But if you do, then you will need to reserve a seat on whichever train you choose to take and get a refund for the unused seat reservation.

If you didn’t reserve a seat, you don’t need to do anything at all. Just take the most convenient train on the day.

    4. Congratulation! You got the train Jackpot 🙂
Yes, just show your Ticket. You can take whatever Train you like that day to reach yor destination. If you have a first class ticket or your ticket requires a booked seat, you have to book them.

      Enjoy your ride 🙂
