Damn those xenophobic numbers and fascist math!
Especially the 8’s and the division. These are the worst.

“Convicted”. That could also mean foreigners don’t get good representation and/or are given less leniency. We had a native Swiss break into our car and the cops just let him off bc he grew up there and was known to be troubled.

Lovely misleading title there to fuel hate against any foreigner 😡

Yeah, that is not a surprise really. Unfortunately, petty crimse have been ignored by the politicians in all of Europe willingly. Nobody really cares anymore if a bicycle is stolen. Insurance is supposed to take care of this and it essentially becomes the problem of the people who pay for the insurance. It’s just fucked up.

So 20% of thefts are committed by swiss residents, 13% by non-swiss residents and 67% by non-resident foreigners 😉
Edit : % correction.

A sign we take good care of our people, so generally people living here do not need to steal to survive.
In the other hand there is organised crime gangs that spot empty houses… Be careful this can happen to anybody.

well ofcourse. And I would also bet that more than 90% of voleurs are poor.
and out of all poor, large majority are etrangers.

100% of crimes committed against frogs while wearing a Borat swimsuit were done by Steves.
Statistics are cool and all, but without context they can be made to say a lot of things.
Like others have already pointed out, most of this is done by people who come to Switzerland with the express intent to steal, not by people who live here and try to integrate.
Additional information about if foreigners are more likely to be *convicted* than swiss people would be nice, because that would skew this entire thing.
I bet wage theft is not counted in this, for instance. You know, the one theft you should actually be afraid of.
Nah, this is just blatant propaganda trying to stoke fear of foreign people. I’m very sad to see it’s working.
You’re being manipulated. I don’t think you want to be so easily manipulated? Maybe start looking a little past the very surface when you’re being served posts like this?

Quel choc d’apprendre que la nécessité de recourir au vol touche plus facilement des populations précaires. On a trouvé quelle excuse pour les 20% qui théoriquement ne peuvent pas exister vu qu’aucun Suisse ne commet de délit?

Break it down by age and gender.
Surely, they aren’t old ladies causing the crimes.
