At the time of the massacre he was 17. He was picked up from his job as a sales assistant in a local store and marched with thousands of others to a set of baracks, where they spent the night. In the morning of October 21st, 1941, the massacre began. Radoslav threw away his documents, and having known German and being a bit small-framed, he told a German solider he was 14, and was kept in the barack. Between 2,778 and 2,794 mostly Serb men and boys were killed. The others, including Radoslav, were kept in the baracks for 3 more days as hostages, but were eventually let go.
