Let’s be honest. Who wants to graduate in a country without job opportunities?
Good. It benefits no one when people have unrealistic expectations and then get disappointed with their education and their host country. Students being able to bring in their whole family made matters even worse in terms of being able to afford normal living expenses and finding work. The whole foreign students as a business model thing needs to be culled.
When you raise the price twice fold on studying from abroad less people will apply, shocker, its what they wanted.
for all the talks about migration coming from PS, i wonder why they have not done anything about the loophole of bringing a family of 5/6 people just because one got a study place here
students under no circumstance should be allowed to bring a +1 unless they are researchers or students with longer degree (5+ years)

That is good news after a long time. Finland doesn’t benefit longterm by scamming foreigners out of their money for tuition and without support from welfare. This must also mean they’re culling scammers in India who worked together with universities and colleges in Finland. Truly despicable of our school systems to do that.

Out of 1 proper student, 10 wolt drivers are coming under so called „student“ permits.
No need for them. Must be very strict, including blocking the mandatory money in the bank for the residence permit and such.

Isn’t it because of the new 100 euros fee? I believe that there were quite much applications for “just in case” cases.
This situation feels sad. Finland provided the basis for my achievements as a foreigner: I attended EVTEK, earned my degree, and now flourish in Silicon Valley. I view the education and hospitality Finland offered with genuine appreciation. It is unfortunate that conditions are not improving. I recall when Nokia was my objective before Microsoft ruined it.
