nope, not seen any americans. only the usual dutch/german tourists 🙂
I work in hospitality we have had a lot of Americans over the years, but I have yet to meet anyone like this. Mostly it’s an internet thing IMO. Might even be trolling for the most part
The comments you’ve shown should make you question Americans, not Norwegians.
This is mainly online stuff. I come to Norway every other year to see my family. My grandma grew up in Trondheim. I have a lot of family there and in Oslo. We’re not all bad I promise!
Other than one red cap (everyone gave him a wide berth) no, they’ve mostly been regular people. Though some very extraordinarily offended by very young toddlers bathing in the nude
There are plenty of American tourists in Oslo around where I live, but they are just regular tourists, the same that came before the World Cup. Except Americans speaking louder than others because they really project their voices when they speak amongst themselves, they are like any other tourist I would say.
I mean I went to norway to visit family & would’ve no matter what so…(am Norwegian-American)
How would tourism spike already? People really plan a large international trip with less than a month notice?
Go to the Duolingo Norwegian Facebook group. They are all there and the admin is one of these Viking heritage types and has been called out numerous times for encouraging nazis.
Never. I actually like every American I have met.
