Doesn’t surprise me. The way how he designed shop pay is likely the way he thinks. Shop pay is one of the “scammiest” online payment systems out there. So easy to accidentally press “buy” and no easy way to cancel a transaction other than contact the merchant directly by email.
They want to bring back the caste system where they can rule from the top and the poors should know their role as a good little worker.

The wealthy already have more say because they could bribe their way into getting their way (see: Donald Trump). Really, the system should be the other way around, those with less income should get more votes, because as it is, democratic political systems don’t do enough to protect the poor and vulnerable from inflation outstripping people’s ability to afford basic needs.

Seems to me that it should be the opposite way. If you already have all the money there is no reason to vote because you won’t be materially affected by the outcome of an election. No matter what you will never have trouble paying for food or shelter or anything else that matters. Since people often vote for their self interest make it so the less you earn the more votes you get. That way we would have governance that that serves the actual majority.
Following that thread, it’s a little disturbing how few Canadians functionally pay any meaningful amount of taxes…
You’d need to have an average pre-tax income of a little over $60k to break even, and that’s counting average paid taxes beyond just income.
Considering the average income in Canada is below $50k, that means most Canadians by volume don’t actually contribute more than they take.

Oh my, look at the comments. I think we have long already established that the rich don’t pay tax, and so in this system they would have less say than the typical heavily taxed T4 worker. But it would not surprise me that many here aren’t working T4 jobs.
