Those are not at all mutually exclusive with „limiting population growth“ as much as increasing human rights that DO have a consequence of less/later births (the opposite also happens, lowr education is associated with more births)
We’ve had huge decreases in pollution by investing in a greener energy system (solar, nuclear, wind, hydro, etc) without needing to make such a huge change like population halving.
