The 39000 Model 3 (built in Shanghai) is probably one of the most affordable option in Canada right now. Don’t have to buy through dealership is a plus.
The only downside is Elon Musk.

This is largely due to the other Chinese brands still setting up dealer networks. There was a photo in r/Toronto a few weeks ago showing Chinese EVs in the city for testing. This could also mean they’re getting certified to comply with Canadian safety regulations. Its likely we won’t see them start to show up until end of this year or next year.

Question, does the quota for Chinese made cars depend on someone buying the Teslas, not just them “taking it” or reserving it.
I mean, With Elon’s rep in Canada, who on earth would buy a Tesla? And why?
