What’s Japan’s track record on petitioning against church construction? Post sakoku era, obviously. Also, how was the resistance to that massive mosque in Yoyogiuehara?

I mean this is it. Japan doesn’t want your culture. They don’t want your multiculturalism. At the same time, you can never be Japanese, so you’ll never truly be accepted. You can come, gawk at Japanese culture and history, eat the food, pay taxes, and then go home when you’re ready. That’s the society that most Japanese want.

As Muslim I would on Japanese Muslim community to calm down on building a mosque and hold big prayer like Friday prayer, and Eid prayer on rented large multipurpose room for a while
Of course it’s not ideal, but even during the prophet age the spread are being done in private community first
Acculturation do not happen overnight, the people on modern age forgot this and it always end up failure when you force thing on speed
