The eastern third of the country and the Pacific Northwest are densely wooded, while the Great Plains and the arid interior west are almost bare.

I’ve lived in the green my whole life. It’s nice.
My whole state of Alabama is almost completely covered. I don’t think I’ve been able to drive and just look out for miles. Always trees. The gulf is great for that though.

Looking at the geography of the USA, you’d think that the founding fathers maxed out LUCK. Massive navigable river systems, fertile soils in the midwest, naturally long harbors and gigantic hardwood forests in the east AND the west
New England is woods.
The aridity difference in Washington is crazy. You go from what seems like a desert to lush pine forests in a matter of miles.
I can’t zoom in on the one in Brooklyn..
You underestimate how much bare farm land there is in the torso of Pennsylvania outside of Philly & Pitt

Where I grew up in Indiana has Large forrested area.
Where I currently live in Oregon has Way less trees than indicated on the Crappy Mappy

Southern Arkansas / Northern Louisiana are surprisingly heavily wooded.
This map really highlights how SW Minnesota is basically East Dakota.
If trump gets his way that image will be all white.
