Honestly no thank you. Another pro russian xenophobic nation is the last thing the EU needs.
Edit: thanks for all those comments challenging me and pointing out my own flaws. Idiots exist everywhere and i today behaved myself as one in these comments. Didn’t wanted to get it headed but it got and so i apologize to everyone!

Serb here; I understand countries blocking accession of Serbia into the EU because most of reasons are valid (Bulgarian one is laughable), but, then again I’m kinda frustrated that you have a corrupt shithole of country such as Bulgaria demanding something from Serbia.
Also, I’m pro EU.

Hasn’t the EU learned from how miserable it was to deal with Orban
Why would they want another country actively working against EU interests to join the EU

Serbia hasn’t fulfilled any requirements for accession, so it doesn’t matter what they think.

Serbia should join after they topple/change their government, adopt all EU laws every other country had to adopt and after they disclose all information on Croatian missing persons from the war they fought against Croatia and return looted goods of cultural importance. Not gonna happen any time soon.

War in Croatia was fought because there were regions where 95% of population was not Croatian and did not want to live in Croatia.
Croatia’s stance was „That does not matter, this region does not have a right to secede from Croatia, self-determination is not important, the Constituation is important!“
Now Croatia’s stance is „There are regions in Serbia where 95% of population is not Serbian, they totally have the right to secede from Serbia, self-determination is extremely important, the Constitution is not important.“

Following are disputes Serbia has with Croatia:
1. border dispute: Danube as a border or municipalities borders as national borders. This has to be decided by the UN’s official court , which Serbia doesn’t want to approach, and leaves the dispute untouched
2. missing +1700 dead persons from 1990’s Croatian war of independence. Most of them were imprisoned in military prisons in Serbia (Sremska Mitrovica) or killed in places like Ovčara after the Fall of Vukovar on th 18th Nov 1991., and their bodies have still not found.
3. return of historical and cultural artifacts stolen during the occupation of parts of Croatia, more than 1600 pieces of it. Serbia officially acknowledged it, and the process is.. a kind of ongoing…
4. Serbia’s jurisdiction over events that happened outside Serbia. Serbia claims any eventual war crime that happened to serbians who are citizens of other countries (Croatia, Bosnia) can be legally prosecuted in serbian courts. EU law does not accept it. Krunosla Fehir was the last “suspect” that got arrested (when tried to enter Serbia 1-2 yrs ago) over alleged war crimes for his acts during 1990s in Osijek, Croatia.
5. stolen companies. INA (Croatian’s national oil companies) had 167 gas stations in Serbia, that were taken over by serbian government in 1990., later on owned by Beopetrol (without reparations to INA) and then sold to Lukoil. By this day, INA still fights in a court to get its property back.
6. This is not the only company with such “experience”.
Apart from that, Serbia has to find an agreement with Kosovo and recognize it as a separate state.
Today, the only countries that Serbia has full cooperation with are China and Russia

Serbia should distance itself from Mother Russia first, then we can talk. Currently, they are far from ready to join the EU.
