Probably less dramatic once you consider that Spain’s team facility was in Tennessee and relocated to New Jersey late in the tournament and Argentina’s was in Kansas City. The teams weren’t actually making the flights shown on the map.

    2. It would be so easy to add their base camp in to make it correct and you didn’t. These numbers are not correct.

    3. Considering how little Messi runs vs all the other players on the field, this happened on the pitch too

I think World Cups should be more regional in large countries. This is not pragmatic at all.

    5. it means a just couple of hours more on a 1st class sit,

also this is misleading as they have to return to their base camp after every match

On one hand I do get that like “it’s nyc, we should have the finals there” but Mexico City feels like it would have been a better choice. More “neutral” fans, larger city, more invested in soccer culture.

    7. Spain has 1 extra rest day than Argentina. Reddit is getting more and more stupid with these posts.

Spain also played in LA multiple times, had a match in a low altitude (compared to Azteca) Mexican city with great weather and matches in an enclosed stadium in Dallas. Argentina had to play twice in KC (open stadium, pretty hot) and the R32 in Miami (open stadium, hot af). I think previous match conditions like that are more draining than increased travel time

They dont just fly from stadium to stadium you should plot from their training base (Tennessee for Spain and Kanasas City for Argentina)

    10. Argentina played one extra match (including extra time in three games).

Argentina had one day less of rest before the final.

On average, the Argentine players are seven years older than the Spanish ones.

Argentina suffered injuries to three key players before the final.

Despite all this, Spain played better but only won by a single goal in extra time.
