Diskussionsthread: Zwischenvorwahlen 2026 in Arizona

There’s not much to really watch in this primary, the only two I’m intrigued by are AZ01 and AZ04:

* AZ01: Does the DCCC Red-to-Blue candidate lose another competitive primary? They’ve already lost two, displaying their shrinking power in choosing nominees and the foolish approach of endorsing in competitive primaries before the elections are even held. I personally have no real preference for either candidate, though.
* AZ04: I do not expect Newkirk to win, as he doesn’t have the money or institutional left support, but I am still very interested in the margin here. We saw how close Julie Gonzales came to unseating Hickenlooper in Colorado without that money or support, so I’m curious to see how this race plays out.
