The list of homes owned by Texas’ Ken Paxton grows, adding to his political problems

>Since taking office, Ken Paxton has now become a multimillionaire, while our pay has remained stagnant for years, for decades. He now owns 11 homes, while most Texans can’t afford one.” MaddowBlog published a fact-check report last week that largely confirmed Talarico’s claim: Paxton, either in his personal capacity or through the trust that oversees his assets, owns five homes in Texas, three in Florida, two in Utah and one in Oklahoma. (Publicly available materials also point to a Paxton-owned lot in Hawaii, although there does not appear to be any structure on the property.)
His salary is $157k. Can these politicians not be so obvious.
edit: His reported salary is $153k not $157K I gave him an extra 4k a year in earnings. I mean that extra 4k is enough to buy 3 homes. /s
Mr Talarico clearly has no idea about the capital requirements and operational overhead needed to maintain a stable of girlfriends and mistresses. And this does not include things like visits to places like London.
Doesn’t matter, Texas will vote Paxton
He needs to be forced to drop out like Graham Platner was…
In practically every show or movie about a criminal enterprise that makes its participants gobs of money, there’s a scene in which the leader issues a warning to the others not to be flashy and spend tons of money, so as not to attract suspicion and get them all caught.
It’s a key montage in Goodfellas, as I recall.
Now here’s the AG of Texas, with a publicly-known salary of $157k / yr, owning 11 houses and buying up three condos for a total price of over a million dollars.
Naked corruption.
I only wish we had Bobby de Niro and Joe Pesci around to help with this situation.
Don’t forget. Ken Paxton is a thief.
It’s cute that Talarico thinks that Texas voters care about this.
Can’t wait to hear him say they aren’t his they belong to Trump.
Will Bill Pulte open an investigation into whether he filled out all his loan applications correctly?
(Waves at Brandon Thurston).
Let’s just give Texas to Mexico if they elect that fucking lunatic.
You need cash to purchase and lots of money to maintain 11 homes. In CT $157K won’t even be enough for a small condo. Unless he has a trust fund or other income this is impossible.
“Every time a fighter like Donald Trump and Ken Paxton stand up to the political elite”
What? Ken Paxton, who has held elected office for 23 years and been Texas AG for 11, isn’t part of the political elite? And James Talarico, who has been in the Texas House for 8 years, and is running for statewide office for the first time ever, is?
Conservatives don’t give a shit
Thats a whole lotta fuck shacks.
Hell one house is enough to maintain as it is, granted he probably doesnt do any of the work on his own stuff so that probably makes it easier.
Guy could sell 10 of them and single handedly solve a local housing crisis.
One house for every bribe he’s accepted
He’s lucky Republican voters don’t care about corruption at all.
I have nothing but hatred for Ken, but no great love for James!
The man has also indicted for securities fraud and didn’t stand trial for like 7 years. Instead of facing a trial in which he faced up to 99 years in prison he cut a deal completing a pretrial diversion program that required him to pay roughly $300,000 in restitution, complete 100 hours of community service, and take legal ethics classes.
Something tells me that a fucking ethics class wasn’t going to unfuck Ken Paxtons unethical brain
How can a public servant whose full time job is being the state AG earn enough to afford houses on the double digit ?
Any republican cares enough to explain?
