      I think he’d be a great Dr Doom for you know, more than two movies, but I don’t blame anyone from passing on these things, especially now

      Makes me love both Driver and Marvel even more. I love that he keeps taking the call only to turn them down.

      Driver is a hell of a villain. Not just in Star Wars, but Marriage story too. Oh. My. God.

      Adam Driver is just a fantastic actor. He will get an Oscar someday but yeah, he’s definitely in a position to say no to a lot of these movies.

      How’s he saying no to Marvel but yes to Megalopolis? I’m fine with people turning down superhero movies, but again, why Megalopolis?

      I think we all know that Adam is hold off for Marvel to offer him the lead in a Sleepwalker film. Make it happen!

      I think it’s great that KF is upfront about that. Adam is a wonderful artist and has high standards, which the MCU hasn’t lately. That’s how I would interpret this, at least.

      After they fumbled Mahershala Ali and Blade, as well as wasting Christian Bale…yeah no kidding. He already has his franchise money, all they can really offer is restricting his schedule for years.

      After Star Wars, who can blame him? I’m sure he wants to do Marvel, but I doubt they’re pitching him anything worth doing. He’s a high-quality actor, he wants meaty roles he can sink his teeth into. I bet it’s a lot of ass-kissing during the Zoom pitches, when all he wants to hear is about solid writers and a good director. If he keeps listening, he must be waiting to hear something.

      Remember when Disney knew how to handle talent? I appreciate Feige’s attempts running Marvel, but I’d much rather see Ryan Reynolds in his job. Reynolds could really shake things up for this likely penultimate phase.

      I feel like this would be a great bit for the next season of The Studio, just like a montage of an actor only taking their meetings by zoom, and everytime from a a more ridiculous location just to give some weird philosophical reason to not take the role

      Curious if after his stint with Disney and Star Wars, he is done with the tentpole kind of movies for the immediate future.

      They did the same dance with Joaquin Phoenix who turned down Hulk and Doctor Strange (which was pretty close to happening where Marvel was almost ready to announce it )

      I get just doing basic leg work like that with some actors. Never know could be lucky.

      They’re gonna offer him $100M for a role and it’s going to revive the franchise

      I did t know much about him. Didn’t watch Girls. Then I saw him on SNL and he killed every sketch he was in.

      love him. he became a marine for a reason and has the same approach as an actor. he has integrity

      Smart man. Based on the last several years of Disney screw-ups, and after dealing with the Star Wars sequels, I wouldn’t want to take on another franchise in his position either.

      The man is rich, talented, and in demand. Why do a b-grade popcorn flick at this point in his career?
