The real trick is to engage the dehumidifier setting. That makes a far bigger difference to comfort levels relative to energy consumption.

25 is pretty low tbh, mine runs at 28 and the temps are pretty much perfect.. but you’re obv right on the electricity part, this island could prly run on solar all year round with some upgrades to the infra.. if almost everything has to come from Italy there’ll be bottlenecks taking entire neighborhoods out at peaks throughout summer.. few mandatory m^2 of solar panels on each large enough roof, especially gov owned building and proper maintenance and lots of load could get offloaded to decentralized solar.. obv still need to upgrade the grid..
