      The problem with just posting LLM generated slop is that if you don’t understand the topic then you have no idea if what you are pasting is correct or not…

      The only point I disagree with is 5. The threat may be a few years away but so are the solutions.

      With BTC there hasn’t even been a decision made about which upgrade proposal should be implemented, let alone a timeline for doing so. With ETH the roadmap targets full protection by 2029 but it could take longer, bearing in mind that every bridge, L2, DEX, etc. is vulnerable. Solana doesn’t even intend to upgrade yet and just says it has a plan to do so if quantum becomes a „credible threat“.

      There are chains like QRL that have been designed to be quantum-proof from day 1, without any vulnerable legacy systems that need to be updated or migrated away from, and with the upcoming Zond upgrade it will be EVM-compatible so it could become a competitor to those vulnerable chains.

      There are also other L1s being developed that can run nodes on cheap computers with the ability to scale and process very high TPS without needing to use any L2s, so they won’t have the difficulties that ETH faces with its upgrade.

      Every time I’ve ever posted about the quantum threat, the response is:

      „If it can crack wallets, we’ll have bigger problems with other systems“

      That’s true, which means it, is a gigantic emerging market.

      Regardless of what, when and how people think quantum threat will play out, the general consensus is the risk must be removed no matter how unlikely some believe it may be. And a wait and see approach is unacceptable.

      So now we have systems worldwide looking at how to migrate.

      Solutions that play in that space have guaranteed demand.

      Qanplatform is the only blockchain based tech I’m aware of offering innovation for this new market – enabling quantum-safe „designated survivor“ keys to be used once Elliptic Curve Cryptography becomes obsolete in practice.

      Unlike other holders of quantum coins, I don’t think we need Qday panic, nor do I think it helps utilty coins if Bitcoin fails to navigate the quantum threat. The more people begin taking steps today, the easier it is to gain consensus on tough decisions and hopefully make for a slow migration process.
