Is that good? My scale of successful openings has been off since the pandemic.
It’s very good. Going to break a billion dollars globally. And the movie is really entertaining.

It lives up to the hype, need to rewatch this one immediately, it’s all I can think about currently. One of the greatest films I’ve seen in my Millennial life.
I’m struggling to find a good seat at a 70mm imax in Manchester for the full run of the movie. It’s insane how many seats are booked over the next few weeks
As a Greek person I would say that it was a both a very good movie with relevant modern themes and at the same time a quite poor adaptation of the Odyssey
I watched it last night, I really liked it.

Went and saw it Thursday when I unexpectedly got out of work early and could catch a 4pm showing. Thoroughly enjoyed the movie. I don’t think it’s an all-time great, but a very good movie I’m glad I saw in theaters.
Awesome movie, every imax for this weekend has been booked at every theater in my state
Awesome film just watched it today, Matt Damon was phenomenal.
It’s a modern masterpiece. Word of mouth is going to be incredible going forward so this thing is gonna make money all summer.
The only way this thing could have been perfect is if Travis Scott’s character was asphyxiated by the suitors when they crowded the door to try and escape.
Nolans best work since Interstellar.
I liked it. The score and cinematography were amazing.
Not a fan of the editing, the time between actors saying their lines and cuts were so rapid jarring.
I want the Odyssey to be successful. We need good cinema and this year we are blessed with The Odyssey and DUNE Part 3.

Literally just came back from watching this movie. Its pretty good and they did it justice.
It is definitely not a masterpiece. It is very good. Will need to see again but in 70mm next time to assess.
The marketing for this movie has been a masterclass to watch. I remember watching the first teaser footage over a year ago, with footage and news of the production scale and ensemble cast being revealed throughout the year, and the final push of marketing in the last month across all platforms, I was impressed but not surprised by its opening weekend performance

Is it worth watching on a non-imax screen? I don’t live in driving distance to a IMAX.
The more this gets hyped up, the more critical the mind will get. Already seen so many fell for the Obsession and Backroom movies, let’s see about this one.
It was good. I have to say in general the dialogue was atrocious but the second half saved the movie for me.

Well… its a great movie… so thats good to hear.
I’m gonna watch it at the movies. Minimal cgi and on set locations. Even if the plot doesn’t do it for me or whatever reason, I hate cgi and I want to see this on the big screen.

They need to stop using dollars as a metric of box office success. Ticket prices are literally double what they used to be 10-15 years ago. They need to go by number of tickets sold.
It’s an experience. The story, dialogue, the fricken sound, and the stunning visuals. My husband and I were floored. People were clapping. Superb.

Saw it today. Low key, felt like a spoof. The dialogue was just silly. The plot points that veered off the og felt random and disjointed. It felt like AI tbh. Would watch again.
My non-movie loving husband agreed to overpaying for IMAX tickets. He agreed it was worth it.
So well done.
It’s a film I’ll only watch on streaming if it’s available through a subscription.
Similar to Braveheart, 300, Gladiator, or Troya. All films where you don’t really miss anything if you haven’t seen them in the cinema.
