Nolans Homer-Adaption ist endlich erschienen (17. Juli). Komplett auf IMAX 70 mm gedreht, gestapelte Besetzung (Matt Damon als Odysseus, Zendaya als Athena, Anne Hathaway, Tom Holland, Charlize Theron, Robert Pattinson). Erste Kritiken nennen es ein technisch präzises, hemmungsloses Epos, das auf echten menschlichen Gefühlen basiert.

Good cinematography (except some CGI), rather questionable adaptation of the material. If you don’t care for the actual mythology it’s bombastic.
Apparently a very good movie (need to see it to confirm), plagued by DEI policies that were successfully navigated by the director and the producer to still create something worth watching.
I need to watch it in Kirchberg!
Not to dis Matt Damon, but he was way too week for this role. He’s otherwise a fine actor but IMO he was misplaced here, and the way the charactor was written/directed in this movie undermined the role, thus the movie. Everyone else did a fine/believable job.
