Der Überwachungsstaat ist außer Kontrolle. Diese lustigen „KI-Müllstationen“ am Flughafen dienen offensichtlich nur dazu, biometrische Daten von Kindern zu sammeln und zu speichern. Warum brauchen Sie überhaupt eine Überwachungskamera, damit ein lustiger, farbenfroher Fernseher mit Augen Ihnen sagen kann, welchen Mülleimer Sie verwenden sollen? Sie verbergen es nicht einmal mehr vor uns.

I get that cameras in airports may be necessary and they usually are not open to the public, but outside everywhere is nuts because there’s absolutely no escape.
And if it is collecting close up scans that surpasses the human eye, may be a problem because nobody is really signing up for that.
The worst part is they aren’t even recycling most of this shit so yeah what a waste of money

One man’s surveillance conspiracy is another’s security solution. Post 9-11 bins in airports were considered easy hotspots for leaving explosive devices, this device you see here monitors what goes into the bin in case of an emergency. The friendly appearance also makes the concept of a bin more approachable and usable as a facility, because people can’t be trusted to clean up after themselves and willingly put trash in a proper receptacle.
Before you even set foot in an airport you’ve already been caught on several blob-tracked ID-networked cameras (again, for security reasons, no grand conspiracy, because terrorists have and do exist) and most of the time you’ll willingly offer biometric data when crossing through checks, so even if this was ‚collecting biometric data on children‘ why – if you already offer it at an airport anyway – would it be an issue, and why the fuck would it be at these bins instead of more accessible spots like entry gates? Convoluted processes are not some kind of elite double-bluff. There are much easier ways of gaining your data.
