      The tone is just what makes zero sense. Why are they trying to turn a serious allegory into a comedy?

      My wife and I saw the trailer before Toy Story 5 with our kids. Our family all loves Animal Farm, the famously hilarious children’s book that desperately needed a film adaptation for today’s youth. You see, my parents read Animal Farm to as a child because we were poor and it was our only book. We’ve kept the tradition alive with our kids as well and they’ve grown to adore it as much as I do, maybe more! You can only imagine their delight when they saw the trailer. „Ooh, can we see it? We’ll be extra good until then, we promise!“ they said in unison. I immediately set a calendar reminder so I don’t forget!

      I for one plan to see it a few times. First by myself, then with the family, then a private screening with friends so I can share with them all the things I missed in the first viewings! This is gonna be SWEEEET!

      I’m going to pretend to be shocked that Angel Studios fucked up Animal Farm. Not the studio that’s been putting out far right slop and christian nationalist slop for years.

      Serkis is a tone-deaf moron. Anybody who saw the trailers was saying this looked insane and terrible.

      In Stephen Kinzer’s book, The Brothers: John Foster Dulles, Allen Dulles, and Their Secret War, he talks about how the CIA made sure the 1954 movie showed only the Russian pigs as the bad guys.
