I don’t remember anyone saying shit when Brad Pritt was cast as a Greek

    6. Who cares. It’s a little dumb, but doesn’t hurt the movie which is mythical fantasy anyways. It’s not a historical piece.

The Odyssey isn’t Greek history. The time of the olympians was ancient myth when the person who may have been Homer and may have or may have not existed may have or may have not written those stories.

Now directors have to appeal to everyone and everyone movie must go though a committee to prevent anyone from being offended by the slightest thing.

No one is allowed to act in a role they aren’t. You can’t act as if you were gay or anything like that either.

Finally, whenever a medie is adapted it can not be changed changed at all. The words are final no matter what.

Is this is dystopian world you want OP?

I’m not joking when I say this. The east, both Russian and Greek Orthodox churches are being used by foreign powers to undermine the west, spread discontent and foment pro Russian views. They are actively trying to control your mind and concert you to their messed up form of Christianity. This is part of that wave of cultural jamming.

Follow me on this one: Mel Gibson’s „The Odyssey“ starring John Stamos.

Homer can be who ever we want. He probably never existed. The Illiad and Odyssey areca result of long standing tradition of oral history.
