I hope we get to the point, where the survival of russian troops becomes basically irrelevant as they don’t even reach the battlefield anymore.
Russian stupidity is insane. They would rather face a 30 minute life span to murder innocent Ukrainians instead of toppling their own dictatorship.

I can’t imagine any civilised country accepting what Putin is forcing on them. It’s like the whole nation is utterly brainwashed.
And Putin’s solution is to flood the battlefield with as many unfit soldiers as possible in order to exhaust the Ukrainian defences. Russian lives mean nothing to the regime that pretends to be concerned with Russian people living in Ukraine.

Christ, it’s probably even more bleak than it sounds. You know how with average wealth the mean is always skewed by a few ultra rich dudes and median wealth is a much better number… Probably same thing here. Might have a few guys surviving a few months massively bumping up the average. Median time might be scary low.
Their wives/girlfriends’ future boyfriends will thank them for their sacrifice, if the payout does go through and they are not reported missing.

Isn’t this comparable to statistics from WWI?
I recall that newly deployed troops without combat experience had very low survival rates.
On another note: I distinctly remember that the average lifespan for a German artillery spotter in a cold war scenario was 2.5 minutes after the first radio message.
