I’ve seen this story all day but it doesn’t sit right with me.

Fair enough, but was the dog barking and chasing him? Did he know the dog had no teeth?
None of the articles address whether or not the dog was aggressive, and little dogs pretty often are.

How is a Postie going to know that a dog is blind, and how long do they have to look at their mouth and realise they only have one tooth?
Keep your dogs away from the posties. I have a dog and she hasn’t bitten anyone in the 4 years of her life. I still keep her away from delivery workers because they don’t know she’s friendly do they.
It’s sad that the dog had to be put down, but this could’ve been avoided entirely if the owner was responsible.
So cruel such a shame gorgeous gorgeous dog RIP ❤️

I don’t usually feel much empathy but this one hurts.
Anyone who defends the postman after seeing the video is a fool. The dog posed no threat, it wasn’t even going for him.
I have dogs approach me even more directly than that walking to my car most days and not once have I felt the need to toe-punt them, because I’m not a violent coward.

I was a postman for a while and got properly rounded on by a couple of dogs and it was fucking terrifying. That said, I think no matter how a tiny, blind ball of fuzz like this is acting, there’s no part in any rational person’s mind that tells you the right thing is to Beckham the little guy into the afterlife.
