The writing is on the wall, we are not welcome. We will see how it goes, this is their country and they can do with it whatever they want.
And most of the Japanese public probably doesn’t make enough money to justify paying fees of this price themselves. Rules for thee, not for me.
But joke’s on them, they’ll still marry foreigners which gives them a guaranteed visa if they want it with far higher purchasing power while their currency goes the way of the Argentine peso.

Even as a foreigner I’m not against raising the prices. It is kinda cheap. But it shouldn’t be a 2000% jump in one go.

The writing is on the wall. Japan’s 50 year economic high has come to an end. Lots of foreigners will visit as a “last hoorah” until other destinations that aren’t outwardly hostile towards tourists become the popular destination spot. I already see this in the amount of people going to China & SK on trips before they eventually go to Japan.
Of course they do lol. I’m soo fucking glad Japan was rendered toothless after ww2. There’s a multiverse out there where the US made a deal with Japan after Iwo Jima and continues to be an absolute menace to others while the US turns a blind eye in exchange for some weird pacific allieship like it does with Turkey right now.
I mean honestly idc, the yen is basically monopoly money to me at this point so yeah whatever ill pay their little fee.

I don’t understand. It doesn’t look like they have a foreigner residency problem but more of tourism problem(and in major cities, I mean I didn’t heard Sendai complaining lol) right? Or are people moving to Japan in large hoards and I live under a rock?
