Çay is the best! I am glad you had a good experiance.
Teas are always warm in the beginning but don’t be surprised if it looks cold later in marriage. Typical turkish tea behavior. Kidding, nice visuals 🙂

As a Turk, the lack of availability of çay was a shock to me when I travelled to China. It was winter, and I was always searching for a cup of hot çay, which was only available in upmarket tea ceremony venues. After all, the word “çay” (chai) comes from China.
