Okay, sorry, no, she’s just a woman. Social gender *is* gender identity, or the words just stop meaning things anymore.
Edit: I fully support trans people, but we can’t be creating non-functional semantic differences just because. What does it even *mean* to be socially male but not identify as male, for example? It’s basically just saying you are being willfully misgendered by the world. It doesn’t make logical sense. She can identify how she wants, but words have to mean something, or we should just stop using them at all. I don’t mind being a post-gender society. Just don’t invent uses for words that don’t mean something.

Regarding the social gender From what I understand it’s that their societal mask is female because of societal norms. Like the way they mentioned height etc at end of the first page. Also that it’s a spectrum so they fit somewhere in between esp when in relation to society.

Seriously, as someone who’s on the non-binary spectrum, she perfect described how I mainly understand my own gender/sex identity, minus that I usually call myself agender because saying the whole spiel would confuse the average person, hence this comment section.
If English had the pronoun diversity that Japanese has, that would really be the only other thing I need. „They“ is technically correct as a singular pronoun, but I just can’t make it vibe with me and how I feel about myself. Every time I remember that there’s no equivalent for „boku wa“ in English, my heart breaks. I just want to express myself while being myself.
And for that reason, I am so happy for this person. I don’t have too much of an opinion on the porn star aspect, but do your thing, I guess.
