Finland was not participant, it was kingdom of Sweden vs Russia.

It was the Kingdom of Sweden fighting in the war, not Finland.
‚Finland‘ always lost in the power struggles between Sweden and Russia.
Swedes lost this war due to staff officer incompetency. Individual fights mean nothing when top is rotten.
As the staging ground for many battles between two imperialistic powers, Finland and the Finnish people definitely lost.
