as much as this is a humor / parody / satire website, that headline is pretty spot on.

It’s not far from the truth I’m up in the upper Ottawa valley and I poked my head outside this morning and it was an instant asthma attack, guess I’m staying indoors today 🙁 I hate being indoors

In the architecture field. Back in the early 2000’s I did a field visit on a vacant building that once housed a bingo hall. Large open space with high ceilings. Got up on the second floor offices overlooking the ground floor and was able to see the ceiling tiles. Once white where all yellow stained with streaks of what I assume was tar. It was so gross. I always hated the thought of bingo halls and their purpose.

1980s Tim Horton’s might’ve been worse. All the donuts tasted faintly of cigarettes.

Old guy here. Reminds me of curling viewing lounges. Parents would go curling and stick the kids up with chain smoking creepy adults where we’d play board games, eat candy and inhale generations of second hand smoke. Like bingo but less wholesome.

Nature is trying to remove that horrible Toronto accent for good.

My favourite is all the people I see walking around wearing masks, all concerned that 1 or 2 days of breathing wood smoke is going to give them the blacklung.
You’re going from air conditioned apartment, to air conditioned subway, to air conditioned building. I *promise you*, the 5 minutes you have to be outside breathing the air is not going to give you any more cancer than you’d normally develop.

Seeing as this issue keeps getting worse, maybe Ontario shouldn’t be cutting firefighting budgets every year.
Yes, that means you Doug Ford!

Toronto air quality plummets to getting a ride home during winter of 1996 in your best friend’s VW Golf as his parents chain smoke with the windows up.
