This seems to only consider the army casualties, as both nations lost naval vessels and personnel during the war.

    2. Should’ve continued and reclaimed the Western Falklands.

Wouldn’t be in such as shit state if we had

Such a pointless and bloody war fought over a worthless piece of land inhabitated mostly by penguins… truly sad that hundreds of people died for basically nothing; most preventable war ever started by a facist Junta to try to save face despite becoming quite unpopular. It’s a tragedy that they ever got into power at all (considering that they also killed like 30,000 civilians during their rule).

This map sucks. It completely ignores the naval side, which was *far more important than the ground battles*

A good lesson to maybe not invade a land that isn’t yours, despite how close it is 🤷‍♂️

    6. Brilliant, many thanks!
Learned a lot about this episode while living in Argentina, interesting to see

It’s interesting how the defenders took so many losses.

      Usually the other way around.

But…but… they’re good at football so they deserve to have the islands right?

Too bad our football team doesn’t perform as well as our military 🤷

Shortly after this graphic ends Thomas Tuchel ordered all the English soldiers to just go and sit on the beach and chill for 45 minutes

    11. Bear in mind Britain took this back from the invaders by maintaining an 8000 mile supply route. This wasn’t even the royal navy at it’s peak either.

    13. We should have more wars with just one side and no casualties. These two-side wars are messy.

My apologies for this dumb question. Why didn’t Argentina try to break the blockade and send reinforcements?
