This questioning is not only revealing, it’s a brilliant spectacle in regards to approaching disingenuous minions and thugs.

I wish they could feel shame

maybe the world would be in a different place

The lengths that Republican Political Figures are willing to debase themselves in order to appease Trump’s fragile ego is humiliating.

Responding is not answering, I don’t know why they don’t point out this distinction when people stonewall with this response. I would have said “you replied to the question, but you haven’t answered it”. It feels like falling into their trap by even arguing about whether they “answered” when they aren’t even using mutual definitions. You have to point out the distinction.

„After former President Joe Biden won the 2020 election, Trump refused to concede, told multiple lies to sow doubt about the results, tried to enlist officials including Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger and former Vice President Mike Pence to illegally overturn it, and then incited a violent riot at the US Capitol when those efforts failed.“

These are all facts. These are all as bad as they sound.

He’s talking elections tomorrow. What wouldn’t he do to retain power?

Sadly if he still had the ability to feel shame or humiliation, he wouldn’t be working for this administration 😐

      An absolute clown 🙄

    7. Why is this not contempt.

      Can we bring back contempt??

‚I don’t recall‘ is one thing. This is different. This is contempt.

More of this. I hope the Dems figures out the new political reality bc entertainment and social media is the game.

Start by asking who won each election and wait till 2020 for them to fall apart lol.

In order to be humiliated these people would have to be able to feel shame. They do not.

      >“You refuse to answer a basic question about who won a presidential election,” Ossoff said, “but you asked to lead America’s intelligence community? **Isn’t it humiliating to be unable to answer this question, to have to indulge the president’s delusions?**”

      >“**We know, you know, everybody in this room knows the truthful answer to that question,” Ossoff continued. “Why can you not give it?**”

      >Sean Vitka, executive director for Demand Progress, said after the hearing that Clayton’s refusal to answer Ossoff’s question was disqualifying.

      >“Clayton’s trainwreck hearing showed us that **he is willing to deny objective reality to avoid upsetting the president**,” Vitka said. “Someone like that must not be allowed to be the director of national intelligence, who wields vast power and must lead the intelligence community with nonpartisan integrity and independence from political pressure.”

      (My emphasis)

For any Senator with even the most basic self-respect, this would be the end of Clayton’s chance at confirmation.

    12. These are the people who will be asked by Trump to investigate legitimate elections for fraud without a shred of evidence. They will be on the frontlines of the war for democracy, but which side will they be on?

That’s why they ask the question.

Just imagine how much of a pathetic loser you have to be to be a grown adult and responding like that to questions about our elections.

Just truly imagine the weak ego and the lack of any moral character.

    14. Nothing surprising going on here. It’s a cult. And the early stages of a dictatorship.

    15. It’s not just Americans who are watching this. The whole world is watching this spectacle. It is mind boggling for us to witness the mental gymnastics these people will play out to demonstrate their loyalty to a conman, pedophile, and rapist. Trump has two more years, then he is gone. Their legacy will be shit.

Imagine going to a job interview for **Director of National Intelligence** and failing the background check’s basic CAPTCHA question.

      Appealing to their dignity/self respect.

      Works every time.

(Actually it never works and its beyond stupid why people continue to do it and think its a win)

      here’s the deal

what they say and do would embarrass a normal person, they are not normal

but he is still the one in the government position with power and the people „humiliating“ him are not

So what does humiliation count for? Nothing. It’s meaningless

    19. I wish everyone would watch this exchange and not just read about it or see parts of it in tiktok clips. You’re beyond reach if you come away not disgusted at his refusal of answer, doesn’t matter which side you are on.
