Sie schienen einen Winkelschleifer zu haben und haben mein Fahrrad in zwei Hälften zerschnitten. Ich bin mir nicht sicher, warum sie es nicht einfach gestohlen haben. Hat jemand Ähnliches gesehen?

    1. They are playing the long game, and hoping you will buy a more expensive bike, that they can steal at a later date.

    2. On the upside.. replacing the frame is only about 25% of the cost of the bike.
Bikes are fun and rewarding to build.
That frame wasn’t even the right size for you 😉

    3. Would I be right in guessing Lidl has the battery powered Parkside angle grinders in lately? That usually inspires a lot of first time locksmiths to try their hand

Was it locked to a pole and they didn’t just try to lift and twist to break the lock and snapped the frame? Seeing the cables intact suggests so.

The good news is someone that stupid will almost certainly take a hand off with his angle grinder.

that is not cut with angle grinder, the weld beeds look to have broke, probably due to impact, either someone was pulling and bashing it or someone dropped it somehow to brake it, should be a quick fix if you have a welder buddy.

They twisted a bike around the lock hoping lock gives…it didnt frame did they moved on to next bike

Doesn’t look like angle grinder damage from the picture. Seems more likely that they were trying to use the frame as a lever to break the lock, but the frame gave up first.

Look it was my first time robbing a bike we all make mistakes im not perfect

    10. I’ve had a bike vandalised after they couldn’t cut the lock (frame bent beyond repair). Maybe they damaged it whilst cutting the lock and decided to destroy it entirely out of spite.

Had to be easier to cut through that aluminium than mess with the lock. They probably figured they’d strip whatever parts they could off the frame afterwards. Brutal thing to come back to though, hopefully the wheels and components are still there.

    12. This is hilarious (not for you obviously – sorry about your bike) . Stupid cunts. All The intelligence of a single celled organism.

If you’re in cork and handy with spanners I have a frame you can have. I think it’s a large, for 29″ wheels.

That’s not an angle grinder job, definitely snapped after a crash also cables are not cut

They look like stress fractures over angel grinder cuts, very hard to make a curved cut like on the lower bar, might have cut the top thinking they could get the lock off & it snapped then after

    16. When my bike got vandalized it was because they tried to use the frame as a lever to break the lock – maybe they tried the same for this one but the frame snapped?

Feels terrible, sorry it happened to you.
