Do it.
This is unsurprising. The Russian bribery vehicle is powerful, but it’s not infallible; there are tons of EU nations that hate Russia a lot more than they like money. The IOC is really going to have to reach to explain this one.
Also, with the sheer amount of sportswashing going on lately, I’ve completely lost interest in any form of international sports.
Good. As an American, we need to follow the EU’s lead on this as soon as able.
