    1. Sinn Fein wholly embarrassing themselves, never seen that before.

This one is the worst of the lot and just about sums up the party. Lots of huffing and puffing, give them an opportunity and they fall flat on their face.

      Embarrassing

      Jeeeeesus.

If that happened to me, the memory of it would haunt me at random moments for the rest of my life.

Wait…she moaned about not being able to speak Irish while….not being able to speak Irish (at that moment)?

      Fucks sake.

    4. What’d she think’ll happen? The EU website has Irish, all it’s reports are available in Irish, all it’s laws are available in Irish and all its reports include Irish versions.

Its mandatory that the EU honour the official language of its member states

How can I know as someone not elected as an MEP, that you can speak Irish in the EU parliament freely, I mean its seriously embarrassing for her. However if she is missing something so basic, what is she actually doing day to day in there, in fact I wonder what most of our MEPs do day to day, considering majority of them support Chat Control. Serious bunch of morons.

The EU is famously quite supportive of using Irish, there’s a whole translation staff who work for the institutions.

The sanctimonious chastising of the Committee for not being allowed speak in Irish, and then she can’t even attempt it…. Pure cinema….

What is it about us that we send the biggest dopes to represent us within the EU. So embarrassing.

Attention seeking, trying to be relevant and just makes a tit out of herself.

Did I say Irish? I meant Pig Latin. Oh, accepted as well? Sorry, I need to take this call.

That’s the level of embarrassment that should make any decent person retire on the spot. What an immense gaff. Id want the ground to swallow me up. Doubt she has the requisite shame though

    14. „Under her Irish-language name, Lynn Ní Bhaoighealláin, she stood at the 2007 general election as the Sinn Féin candidate in the Kerry South constituency“.

So her performative BS predates more recent embarrassments by a significant margin.

How the feck does someone get elected to Europe and NOT know that Irish is an official EU language??

      That’s outrageous.

    16. I am being victimised.

      No actually, you are not.

Oh shit, I was kinda counting on that.

The performative Gael. Already ran into it several times, when people pretend to know Irish, or Irish history, only to prove themselves fools. They shriek the loudest, but know little. Also see: those that think „taking the soup“ was an actual thing.

    18. It’s not the fact that she can’t speak fluent Irish; it’s the fact she was pretending she was a fluent speaker who was disappointed that she wasn’t being facilitated to speak her native language. Absolute Gombeen

    19. That’s the most embarrassing thing I’ve seen in a long, long time. Haha, what a fool.

That’s all she will ever be known for now.
