That’s how I feel
Chinese Wolf Diplomacy didn’t go away just because they’re content to watch Trump melt down the US. There’s a reason why we’re seeing a spike in the latest „look how China is already in the 22nd century“ themed propaganda posts all across social and mainstream media.
They don’t need to rattle the saber right now. They do that quietly with secret police stations, in corporate boardrooms and in judicial courts.
Well both have terrible leadership but yeah. One is a more direct and unstable threat to Canada.

Yes I have my issues with China. **Deep, deep issues**. But the immediate issue is the suddenly hostile country that we share a fucking border with.
To begin with, China never threatened Canada for annexation.
Tbh I feel like most anti-China sentiment comes directly from US politics anyway. Especially anti-China sentiment in Canada in particular. You’ve all seen the way Trump has threatened us if we made deals with China. You saw how much crap we got into by arresting that Huawei person for the US. All of it is hypocritical specifically to give the US leverage. They tell us to hate China, they tell us to not do deals with China, and then Trump goes to China for a week and praises Xi nonstop and tries to make deals with him. They want to be the ones who make the deal with China rather than Canada. The strategy is as clear as day.
Canada, at least currently, isn’t part of China’s historical territory so we’re not being actively threatened with conquest.

This isn’t surprising. One country is threatening annexation, the other isn’t. And the one that’s threatening us is right across our border, while the other is on the other side of the world.

The streamer Atrioc recently went to China and he asked a lot of people what they thought of America and Donald Trump and it seemed like most people thought he was just some crazy guy running their country that they all hate and can’t get rid of for some reason. We know that far too many Americans are just actually stupid. Trump is a symptom of america, America is not a symptom of trump.
