      Political decision. Current government has hit the brakes meaning that they postponed certain things that make the fuel cost even more, but they didnt remove those and next government will accelerate us even further from Denmark & Sweden. We have voted yes for this multiple times. We will likely vote yes to this again 2027.

      I don’t know why people saying the reason is taxes because last year in May prices Estonia and Finland were almost the same (1.6-1.7eur). Now in Estonia the price is 1.749e/l, while in Finland they are around 2-2.1e/l. As far as I know there were no changes to tax rates in both countries may 2025 onwards.

    4. Lack of competition. Gasoline is sold basically by only two companies and they are not competing against each others.

      And taxes of course.
