Mein blöder Arsch hat schon die Hälfte getrunken, bevor ich mir überhaupt die Mühe gemacht habe, das Datum zu überprüfen 😭 Hat der Laden nicht auch Lagerbestände dafür? (Nicht, dass ich eine Rückerstattung oder ähnliches möchte)

„Best before“ does not mean expired.
Yes that’s expired over two months ago.
What is it?
Well it says best before, not last day of the day use, which just means they can’t guarantee the quality after that date. Some items you could safely consume years after best before dates.
The shop screwed up anyways, if they had that on sale, but if it tastes fine, you are unlikely to be in danger.

Depends on what it is. If it is juice and it tastes fine, then it should not be a problem.
No, the store does not have an automatic system to know when the item needs to be removed from the shelf. Workers check the dates manually from time to time, usually items with short expiration date.
after that date, the item cannot longer be sold in the store but the actual product will last way longer than the „expire date“.
Someone shelved it wrong and the worker checking the dates missed it because it was behind a newer one. That’s how this mostly happens.
The shops will replace an item like this no questions asked even if you drank half of it.
Just take it to the store you bought it from, and they will refund you or give a new item. You won’t need a receipt.
