It was a fun run, and a disappointing loss. Thank you for the fun run Erling.

    2. I’m so excited we got to introduce Erling to the world!

For many world cup watchers, this felt like the end of something. But our team is young and still inexperienced. This was their first ever tournament.

For us Norwegian, this has marked the beginning of a new era. For years, our team has been working and fine tuning their own style of play. It’s been a work in progress, and it was only 1.5 years ago something finally began to click. We have been wondering how good we really are, if we could square off against the world’s greatest. If we could translate recent success in Europe to the biggest stage.

This is the tournament that announced that we are here, and we can compete against, and beat *anyone*.

This was the birth of an era of Norway as a global football powerhouse for the coming decades.

In September, we get to play Nations League as an A nation.
Next year, we get to play in Euro qualifiers as a top seeded team.
In 2028, we get to play the Euro Cup.
In 2030, we get to return to the world cup – This time with experience, a more mature Erling, and even more new talent. Schjelderup, Nusa, Bobb will be in their mid-20s.

These are things we could never have dreamt of only a few years ago.

Some of my non sporting friends were cheering for Norway cause of the Erling memes, they got invested.

The fact this achievement will always be remembered. Created history, great seeing all generations coming together and something to build on.

    4. Norway wouldve won if he didnt get the goal disallowed with that foul.. but but something Solgoth.

Credit to the manager Ståle Solbakken as well and all other players. I loved watching our boys shine on the biggest stage.

      Heia Norge!

Didn’t try hard enough vs England. His game plan has always been to appear lazy and conserve energy, then gets injured in extra time (what’s the point) and has to come off injured or gave up after Sloth gimped their best chance early on.

Either way Norway robbed, England diving all over the place and have had var decisions all through this tournament in their favour. Norway 2nd goal shouldn’t have been disallowed, Spence should have had a yellow for diving for the pen but didn’t and Bellinghams goal shouldn’t have counted as according to the rules, if the ball touches the spider wire it’s a drop ball but of course the cheats go through thanks to corruption behind the scenes.

2026 is 1966 again if they win it

My son is not into soccer. We are both very much into combative sports such as Judo/Wrestling/Boxing etc. He comes home and says “Have you seen that big Viking in the World Cup?” So we all start watching the games and of course, the hilarious and inspiring media posts by Haaling. Your team’s toughness and sportsmanship stood out to me as an active wrestling coach. You should be so proud, because they were/are great ambassadors for your country and the sport. They conquered the hearts of lots of us here in the USA. Thank you Norway! 🇳🇴
