Those nets look like they would be helpful for a toy with a firecracker taped to it (which is not such a bad idea to protect against) but what are they possibly going to do against a small plane?
No drone ever reached Russian target. It’s debris, ALWAYS debris.

The net might cause a drone to explode prematurely and rain fiery debris on the tanks below – then Russian media can report falling debris caused the fire.

Stupid russians, didn’t want to pay out for the anti-debris nets as well.
Most likely those nets are ineffective. But if they were effective, we would not know. If those helped in 50% of cases, we’d still only see the videos where it did not help, and assume they never work

The drone magnet nets appear to have done their job superbly.
Great retaining rings around all the tanks……not.
The netting just turns a direct hit into a more drawn out fire when burning sections of it fall onto whatever’s below. Rostov’s been hit something like four times this year and they keep rebuilding in the same exposed way. That tank farm is responsible for most of the jet fuel heading south to Crimea.
Even the firemen look clueless what to do.
