Who do y’all think will have control of the senate post-midterms? I’m predicting a 50/50 split
I am 80% sure that Trump is unwilling to weather the political costs of this war to return to full scale of conflict at least for long. My prediction is this is gonna be a big dick contest for each side to show their country “see!! We don’t NEED peace!”
If they’re exchanging **fire** across the Middle East, how does that threaten the **ceasefire** deal? They’re firing, hence, they’re no longer *ceasing*.
Everyone’s daily reminder that to interpret stuff like this as Trump being an incompetent buffoon is to give him too much credit because that naturally implies that he’s seeking to do good things and failing.
Trump and Republicans, whether for their own ends or on behalf of hostile actors, are seeking to do as much damage as possible to American society and our standing in the world, and they have been wildly successful at it.
And, no, it’s not “both”. They are very competent at achieving their actual objective of damaging the country.
Please, stop buying the cartoon narrative and start viewing these people as the malevolent force that they actually are. We will never get out of this if we can’t even accept what we’re dealing with.
I just simply can’t believe people actually voted for this fucking idiot. Yeah he was an outsider yada yada his first election, but like… we’ve all witnessed his first term and his ineptitude hurt us all, yet somehow people voted for him just a few months ago.
After his 3 impeachments, after being found civilly liable of rape, after he became a 34 time felon, after he tried to overthrow the government, after being heavily affiliated with (and probably partaking in) the largest pedophile ring in history… the list doesn’t stop… I can’t fathom someone living through all of that just to vote for him only 18 months ago.
Now… here we fucking are…
I’ve been a fan of NACHO for months now, and it has never let me down.
This whole thing seems so useless because even if Trump gets some „deal“ with Iran it’s only an Executive deal not a treaty so the next President (even if Republican) can tear it up and start over like Trump did with the JCPOA. Iran knows this.
The only way this can work is with a coalition of enough partners in Europe and Asia which is not in the cards for this admin.
When Iran feels like it, there are going to be a lot of deaths over there. Right now they are being very restrained but as Trump keeps this saber rattling up, they’re going to get frustrated and retaliate.
I think they’re holding themselves back waiting for the enroute US ships to try to control the straight for the optics of sinking US vessels, and when that happens, the whole world is going to feel it.
