Jeder liebt den Wikinger-Streit und Haaland, sogar Amerikaner wollen Norweger sein. Sie schlagen eine der besten Mannschaften und schreiben Geschichte, und Norwegen ist superreich.
Mittlerweile hat mein Heimatland Finnland noch kein einziges Mal an der Weltmeisterschaft teilgenommen. Unsere Wirtschaft liegt am Boden, wir haben die höchste Arbeitslosigkeit in Europa. Wir sind scheiße, ich bin so neidisch auf dich.

I am sorry you arent happy in your country. I think there are a lot of good things about Finland others are envious of 🙂 i for one admire the unique history of your language and culture. Small things but I find it fascinating.

As a fellow finn, I totally get you. Of course we are envious of our neighbor right now. Everything is so fucking bleak here. That doesn’t mean we cant be happy for their success!
Instead of being bitter, we should take all the inspiration that Haaland, the team and all of Norway is giving us!
My prediction is that this inspires especially our youth too and by 2042 we are also competing in the world cup.

Im norwegian, and yea it’s fun with the World Cup and the positive attention our country is getting, but the grass is always greener on the other side. I have been in Helsinki and Tampere and both cities were great. Tampere in particular was an absolutely lovely place. Besides the world cup our country has been a mess lately.
I dont know a lot about the economic situation in Finland but things are pretty bleak here as well. We also have a government that is seemingly more corrupt and incompetent than it has ever been.
We also have a royal family who have been an absolute mess. Our crown princess has had extensive contact with Epstein and given practically no explanation. Her son was also found guilty of and sentenced to 4 years for rape recently.
I could go on, but the point is that if you were to ask me a week before the World Cup started I would love to be Finnish. Im sure you have your bunch of problems that I am completely unaware of, but as I said the grass is always greener on the other side.
