    1. You clearly haven’t seen wireless charging yet /s

Maybe his battery is flat and he forgot the cable so run back home 😉

Park perpendicular to the front of it, head off and charge away to your hearts content

People will happily and regularly park where they cause a danger to other road users. People will without a second thought park where they obstruct the only safe path for disabled people. Given the opportunity people will even park in a manner that creates a hazard near schools and crèches.

At least this lad is in a space designated for a car.

    4. Was out for lunch at the weekend in a hotel that had eight chargers.

Four spots were filled with ICE cars, two with non charging PHEVs, two with charging EVs.

People are selfish and just don’t care. If it was my hotel, I’d see the clamping of these dickheads as a stronger revenue stream than the actual chargers.

BTW, is that not a BYD Seal U in the picture, not an EV.

The policy should be that they’re towed if they’re not charging.

Saw a woman get out of her EV in a charging spot and proceeded to leave her car. Actually ran to catch up with her and asked if she’d forgot to plug in.

She actually said „Oh no, you don’t need to charge in them, they’re just for EV owners“. HUGE sign on the walls behind the card saying „EV CHARGING ONLY“. Pointed that out to her. She genuinely went back and plugged her car in but didn’t start charging.

    8. To be fair, I’ve noticed that the EV spots are often times the ones closest to the place where you need to go… seems like that baits these kinds of trolls to begin with

Went to centre parcs a few months ago and they have tonnes of EV spaces but they are located close to the centre. Went to use a space to charge my EV and all the spaces were taken mostly with ICE cars parked up for the full week. To be fair security sorted me a space but they weren’t mad happy about it.

Same thing happens all the time in train stations also, non ev cars taking up the space . I’ve reported about it 2 times but nothing happened, just gave up, there is no point, people just do whatever they want .

My neighbour, in her PHEV, told me a story about getting a bollocking for parking in a EV spot. Apparently she thought they were simply parking spots for EVs „because they’re bigger“, and not charging spots.

I sometimes wonder do these idiots get annoyed when they see cars charging in those spots because they cant park in them.

    14. I approached a lady for doing the same. She said that the green spaces aren’t just charging spots but for ev parking as well 🤬

Where i live, there’s a car park in the town centre with 4 charging spaces, every day 2 of them are occupied by hybrid cars, not phev’s and the traffic warden ignores them . I these cannot occupy the spaces all day

Edit: it’s the same vehicles every day, so obviously somebody working in the area
